Karthik Velayutham

Founder/CTO

BEng, MSc Sustainable Engineering: Offshore Renewable Energy

An accomplished renewable engineer, sustainable engineering researcher, scientist, and marine engineering expert. Karthik has experience working in construction and marine engineering sectors with a proven record of solving complex problems. He developed our innovative patented UDSM/TVB technologies based off ten years of research, which established the foundation of our core technologies.

Vijay Madlani

CEO

BA (Hons) – Business

A senior executive with 15 years of experience across the global end-to-end supply chain in multiple sectors covering both FTSE-100 and privately owned environments. His experience covers mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, and business turnaround.

Since joining Katrick Technologies, Vijay has been instrumental in the progression of the company through establishing crucial partnership agreements, and fund raising. Prior to his time at Katrick, Vijay was the international group director of Uniserve Group and worked with Sainsbury’s for 10+ years in their logistics and supply chain management.

Dougald Middleton

Executive Chairman

BSc Land Econ

Former senior corporate & project finance partner for over 20 years at EY leading their UK corporate finance practice. In addition to his time at EY, Dougald was the Director of Structured Finance at RBS specialising in infrastructure funding, and an advisor on the Scottish National Investment Bank Directorate (SNIB) for the Scottish Government.

He is currently an advisor to the Department of Business Energy & Industrial Strategy (New Nuclear Programme) and Managing Director at Drumhill Capital Advisors. Dougald’s role within the company has been instrumental in the business structure, fund raise, commercial agreements, and product development.

John Leahy

CPA, MBA

Worked as operating partner in Private Equity (PE) for 18 years and has an outstanding track record of value creation in several businesses. Extensive experience of working with management teams, in particular developing strategies to grow value, identifying and prioritising the key value levers and putting robust organisational capabilities and implementation programs in place.

Led development of well known businesses including luxury travel brand Tumi and branded food business RHM. As Chairman he led the transformation and growth of LM Wind Power to global #1 wind turbine blade manufacturer with a turnover of €1.2bn.

Bruce Chaplin

Finance Director

N.Dip Cost & Management Accounting.

A finance executive with extensive corporate experience in financial and budgetary reports. Bruce has successfully implemented the development of strategic financial operating procedures and systems to drive financial success, enhancing efficiencies and productivities.

He has worked in international freight forwarding, supply chain, insurance and ICT industries over the previous 20 years.

Neil Midgley

Commercial Director

HND Mechanical Engineering, MBA

A senior executive with 18 years' experience working for a global NYSE 100 organisation specializing in business leadership and global OEM business development in multiple sectors. Neil has a wealth of experience in operations, engineering and OEM dealer development.
