Protecting our technology

Katrick Technologies currently have three active patent families protecting our Wind Panel technology and methodology. Together, they deliver a cohesive technology product platform, but separately can generate their own applications and revenue opportunities.

We work with leading patent attorneys at Lincoln IP for the filing and protection of our innovative patents. Recently, a valuation of our patent portfolio was conducted by Inngot— trusted by HSBC and NatWest — returning a value of £37m.

 
 

  • At the core of our technology is our aerofoil that responds immediately to changes in wind direction and angle. Each stroke becomes an independent energy capture event, so as not rely on averaged wind conditions.

    This patent unlocks a new class of wind capture that is not dependent on clean, directional wind. It makes turbulent, built-environment wind usable at scale and, when combined with Katrick’s hydraulic powertrain and wind mapping, creates a system-level architecture that no longer needs smooth wind flows to be economically viable.

    In a world first, our pressurised fluid powertrain is designed for turbulent, intermittent, and multi-directional energy inputs.

    Instead of forcing chaotic energy to behave like smooth rotations, we convert it immediately into fluid pressure, where it can be controlled, shaped, stored, and optimised. Working wherever any energy is turbulent, intermittent, directionally unstable, or non-rotational.

    We have patented a method to see, measure, and deploy energy systems in turbulent ground-level wind, where conventional models fail.

    Proven high-resolution data collection and analysis methods backed by Heriot-Watt University, and verified by wind energy expert, Dr Früh, for software exploitation and exploration.
